Dr. Mubina Gaffar is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. She specializes in all lung diseases, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer. She completed her Fellowship training in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and has been in practice since 2007.
Dr. Gaffar is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and a member of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP). She serves as the Director of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Hoag Hospital and is also a member of the hospital’s Medical Executive Committee, an influential decision-making body guiding clinical and operational policies.
In January 2021, Dr. Gaffar was named a “Physician of Excellence” by the Orange County Medical Association, an honor showcased in Orange Coast Magazine’s 2021 issue. For this commendation, Dr. Gaffar also received recognition from the City of Newport Beach.
